FBH doesn't start

I have the Webasto oval timer & remote control installed by TFC over a year ago.

The FBH worked perfectly all through last winter. This morning, according to the in car display was 4 degrees - confirmed by Nasher’s post in another thread (he lives nearby).

What action to I need to take to:-

1. Wake up the FBH, and

2. To reset the timer, which seems to be required.

The car is still under warrantee, do I simply take it into the dealer, or will they not honour the warrantee because of the retrofitted Oval timer?

Mine didn't start either. No timer though. Crying or Very sad

I seem to recall a thread on here that had a technique for resetting the FBH but have searched and found 1000's of posts about the FBH but can't see the bit I want; anyone remember?

Mine didnt start first thing this morning ,so whilst I was walking dogs (about a half hour ) I disconnected the bigger of the two plugs into the FBH and locked the car up. On my return I refitted plug and hey presto it fired up. Hope this helps

C0926 is the power connector, the D3 key blade is useful to release the clip.

Alternatively you can remove Fuse 28 in the engine bay fuse box to do the same (disconnect power to the FBH).

Thumbs Up

any photos of the engine bay fuse box Whistle

so just to clarify for first-time owners, you can remove fuse in the engine bay box to disconnect the FBH rather than remove the plug in the FBH itself Rolling with laughter

One assumes the key is to out of the ignition and the vehicle not running and then what? Laughing

Excellant wiki entry, will be very useful soon Thumbs Up ... but doesn't the climate control have to be in auto as well for the heater to run?

I've noticed that as well if the climate control is not on the FBH does not come on. I was testing it at the weekend and did not have climate on could not get it to work, turned on climate as a test and it fired up.

I don't have a timed remote connected to it and not sure what made me try turning on climate control

Once mine is locked I need to have the fault code cleared. Resetting it through the wiki method doesn't work in my case.

If the climate panel is unplugged then the external temp gauge doesn't read so perhaps there's a link?

You may also be able to reset a "locked out" FBH
