WILL FFRR COMPRESSOR WORK IN MY DISCO3
I have a compressor taken from a l322 rr part no RQG500041. it is the exact same as the disco3 one except that the 2 cables are split and not enclosed in the one conduit as per the disco3 power wire is slightly shorter but still meets with disco3 one. is this liable to pump out more power and burst my bags or is it the case the only reason the part nos are different is because of the wiring
Thanks
Stuart

as far as i know the connector is different D3 has male connector on the compressor side
FFRR has a female one on compressor
silencer is slightly different as well (have to modify it)
however if you swap connector from your old one it will work (cable colorcoding is same)
wont blow the bags etc works perfectly on D3
Did swap one all OK

I was under the impression that the only difference was the exhaust/silencer
On the FFRR, it is a brass insert screwed into the housing, whereas on the D3/RRS one, it has a quick release coupling for the pipework to the air intake
AFAIK, you can modify the D3 one to fit an FFRR, but not FFRR to D3...
If anyone has a pic of a D3 one, I have pics of an FFRR to compare My D3 Build Thread
