Rain sensing wipers problem |
|
After I little advice here guys,
I have a D3 HSE with the rain sensing wipers with a problem, if I put them in intermittent they wipe 2-5 times and then pack up and stop, i then have to switch the stalk to off then back intermittent and then the same process happens again.
The Slow speed and fast speed work fine, it's just the intermittent side that is failing to do its job.
Also the position of the rotary stalk makes no difference and I've cleaned the screen around the rain sensor with cleaner, alcohol and windowlean.
Any help is much appreciated.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think that's what their supposed to do. They aren't intermittent wipers they are rain sensing. If the screen is wet they keep on wiping and stop when it,s dry.

@Disco_steve, I'm kind of thinking it could be the sensor, or a bad connection.
@migster, I see what you're saying, I forgot to include that the intermittent Stops working even when it's raining, to the point that you can't see clearly through the screen.
I've even been out tonight with a spray bottle, 1st spray on the sensor and they wipe, 2nd and 3rd they wipe, but the 4th nothing, 5th and so on nothing.
Hope this is clearer.
