Does anyone have any experience in dealing with Guy Salmon Sheffield.
I have read quite a bit of negative feedback about a few Guy Salmon dealerships and was hoping that it wasn't a corporate trait.
I know all cannot be tarred with the same brush but just thought I'd ask before parting with any of my hard-earned.
I know that the Good Doctor and others have recommended Lakeland to me and I don't mind travelling to buy the right car, but for servicing etc. I'd like somewhere closer to home (Just north of Doncaster) or work (Sheffield)
Regards Back in the game!

I've always been happy with Rocar Moores in Huddersfield. Approachable and helpful.

Would'nt recommend them, they serviced my first Disco and when I collected it I found a deep scratch about 8 inches long on the rear wing. They denied it was anything to do with them, after kicking up a fuss they found a note saying that one of their customers had fallen against my car and scratched it - they did have it repaired. Months later the same Discovery had to go to their bodyshop for the door to be repaired, they managed to scratch all the bumper corners and mirrors, even reversed the car into a low ceiling resulting it the roof edge being dented . Took a total of 6 months and 8 visits before I managed to get the car back in perfect condition - they even put the wrong colour of pin stripe (black instead of red) on one side of the car!
When they moved to their new premises I had some warranty work done to my TD5 D2 there and ended up having to involve their DP because of their customer service and work ethos.
I would recommend Gordon Lamb in Chesterfield, they have serviced both my Td5 D2's and my D3, never had a problem with them and their prices are a lot better than GS too.
One of my friends bought a D3 HSE from them in January 2005 but he has had a lot of problems with their warranty work and has sinced swapped to Gordon Lamb.
