Very interesting and quotable stuff to throw in the faces of the Guardianistas.
And the Alfa is quite nice too. There's also a review of the new TDV8 Range Rover in the same section. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

I'm one of the former! JC speaks sooooo much sense. That is until he starts talking about a funny red car from from Italy!

Interesting factoid...
The little Italian beauty has a higher CO2 rating and worse MPG than our TDV6 Discovery's
Imagine that, a smaller 'green safe' vehicle is actually a naughty little Italian minx that is stealthily killing the world.

This is not news. A friend of mine has had 3 Subaru Imprezzas and they have all struggled to do 20mpg.
This is what makes a mockery of people like Livingstone's crusade against '4x4s'. He brings to mind Land Rovers and Shoguns. But ordinary saloons, estates, hot hatches, vans and taxis generate as much, if not more, pollution. And there are a lot more of them too.No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Gives me an idea for a sticker. Something along the lines of "Discovery 3 - Less Polluting Than a Black Cab".
