Missing seat swab heater element.
Just had the seat swabs recovered as per http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic6970.html. That went OK, they look very nice and I have that nice new car smell, well for a few minutes anyway. What they told me when I collected it was that at manufacture they had not fitted a heating element to the driver's seat base swab! When I (or Mrs DSL) thought the heated seats were on, it was just the backrest heat working through. Now you can feel the heat right down to just above your knees.
