selecting BAS remap when put in 'S' gearshift |
|
Hi
I came by the idea when my brother got a remap for his Audi; the remap is selected when the gear lever is put in 'S' (sport), when driving in 'D' the remap isn't active.
I talked to Pete at Bellautoservice and this is also possible for the BAS remap. Are there other people interested in this option?
Pete can't promise it will be available at once and he is not interested to make the effort just for one person, I haven't talked about money yet but with enough interest he might be tempted... www.skienklinikk.no

Possibly interested - but really not sure why you'd want to! Mark.

But most tunes are not just for power but improve general drivability etc and I think you will find most people will say that the tune even one that is power biased does not make the mpg worse

Not an expert by any means and if Pete says it can be done then it can be done, just not sure how this would work. Currently when you swop maps it takes a while for the remap to be uploaded to the ECU, does this mean the ECU would store both the original map and the remap ?
If so, would you be able to swap between the maps instantly when "S" is selected ?

Would this mean that you don't have to put back the original file when you go @ the dealer...???
Then I would be interested....not only by putting it in "S" but just by using a button ... Hi
As said I may have a look at this time depending but I will state politly but clearly IF I do it will not be for a good few months at least sorry. I just have to much to do already what with the Evoque tuning and the new 2.2 Puma tuning amongst other projects like FBHIC GSM, BBS R&D and egr closure for 07 on so this is not a priotry of whiich id like to make very clear from the outset.
If I were to do it id be looking first into just changing the S maps and not the normal maps so the ecu would still store only 1 tuned file and it would still need to be returned to original for dealer visits as with ALL BAS Iface users. Thats if its actually possibile at all of which I dont know and can not look right now.
Please, Please in the nicest possibily way dont ask me a million questions about this I really dont have spare time to dedicate to it at the moment so I really dont want to start a massive thread conversation going about it that I have to be involved in.
I hope my words are not seen as rude as they are really not writen to be I just need to clearly state I wont be doing this or even looking at it until all my other projects are finished.
Pete
