LRO Magazine Remap Review

Before I buy the magazine - (its in a poly bag this month so I can't "browse before buying") has anybody read the REMAP reviews? Is it any good? What ones are covered?
I bought a previous edition of this magazine for their review of Diagnostic Equipment for the D3 and was very unimpressed as they did not include Black Box Solutions gear which in my opinion is the best value.

Don't bother, it's basically they tried some Twisted remaps and they improved performance, not much more than that

If it's the mag i'm thinking of that I picked up in smiths the other day it was only on one chip (whose name I forget!), a company with 3 different maps, interestingly they suggested a K&N filter first.

Not impressed with the coverage of that subject in the mag. and less impressed with part of the method they suggested for replacement of lower front wishbones on D3 ( just completed latter on mine ). Having said that, I like this mag for it's overall coverage from series 1 to present day machines - a good monthly read.

Hi

Thanks for the replies.
I think I will give this month's issue a miss then as I was looking for a comparitive review of several makes with tables of power, fuel consumption etc. From what I have read here the BAS remap is a "front runner", the one I am considering and I gather its not even covered.

I was not impressed with their coverage of rust proofing a D3 they just sprayed Waxoyl over the underside no mention of where to inject wax into the box sections etc.

Having said that they seem to be the only Land Rover magazine making any attempt to cover the D3.

Regards

Dave

If you read the text, the car suffered a breakdown soon after the map.

I don't believe in coincidences, and if the map had been free due to the publicity... erm..

....why would they mention it??? Rolling Eyes
