I want to test the camera can I plug it into a TV?

Hi i have just got my hands on a gap tool and done most of the mods to clock on dash 3 flash etc.I did have before on the sat nav screen the radio and aux connectors after i had cut the wire on the screen i let the car go to sleep resolderd the wire let it go back to sleep started the reflashing all went well but now i only have 4x4 buttons sat nav and settings the radio has disappeared from the screen can anyone let me know how to find them on my gap iid tool which i have updated to version 3

So I finally got the camera working.
When it comes up, I only see the yellow and green "guide lines". When I go into the secret menu and change from normal to wide, the red lines show, but no matter if i set it in Normal, Wide 1 or wide 2, as soon as i put the car into reverse, I can only see the yellow and green lines again.
Anyone know of a fix? The camera power is wired to the reverse light. I think I'll change this to the aux power outlet
I connected my rear view camera today, but I can´t get it to work. Is it something I should do when in RR mode to get it on the SatNav screen? I thought it should work right away, but do I need to tell the SatNav that I have a camera? How?
By the way, I have a wireless connected camera. The transmitter fitted in the box above the license plate lamp/camera and I connected the receiver in the center console, with current from the cigarette lighter socket. I bought the SMB to RCA cable and connected that to the socket in the middle, the brown one.

When in RR mode and you put the cr in reverse does the message "Take care when maneuvering" come up, but the screen stays black?
The problem I had was that i didn't push the video cable hard enough into the back of the Sat Nav. So if you plug the RCA from the camera into a TV and the picture comes up, then you may very well have made the same mistake as me. You have to push the connector into the brown (middle) socket until you feel it click home.

Hi Andy,
when you are in RR mode, you must enable in the ccf the rear view camera with a IID Tool from GAP or faultmate usw.

another problem statement from me:
in the past i have had the givf interface.
the picture is crystalclear, bright and colourfull.
connected directly to the nav, the picture is almost "blackandwhite",
no lines to see and picture is not that wide than with the givf interface.
next point: the line break (don´t know if this wording is correct) is wrong.
if there is someone behind the car, i see the feet on the top of the screen.
below i see the head. hope you know what i mean.
any hints where to have a look?Engineering is the perfect partnership between physics and design
Thanks guys. I´ll try to use my Nanocom and do the CCF tomorrow first. Then check the cable, ´cause I´m pretty sure I pushed it all the way in. (I usually do... )
Rovervirus: Could it be that you have a PAL camera, but that your GVIF handles both PAL and NTSC? I think you need to have NTSC to be able to use it directly on the SatNav. Hopefully someone else can confirm this.

When I expected it the least it suddenly worked! I transferred a new CCF file with my Nanocom yesterday, but it didn't work then. Maybe it needed a complete rest to understand what I had changed?
I didn't think of it as I was on the phone when I backed up at work. Suddenly a rear view image on the SatNav. Hallelujah!

Sounds like you have pal camera .. Screen uses NTSC as standardG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
