I have a set like that on the rear of my D3, fit and finish are fine (comparable to the genuine ones) and it's not so bad paying £60 if you rip one of them on a curb/ off roading.
edit: one of the mods on here sells them - have a look in the sales/group buy forums. Slimer I think, possibly DG. or maybe the other one! 2014 D4 XS

They're easy to fit and take about an hour if you potter along. To avoid removing the front wheels, you'll need a very short stubby posidrive screwdriver. Other than that I can think of no other drawbacks to fitting them. Put your vehicle in extended off road mode for better clearance when fitting..
Not that I'm tight but I transferred my original set from my old D4 to this current edition.

Are you not able to just turn the wheels left and right???

I can't remember now Mash Tattie - I think that it didn't go far enough. I am probably totally wrong and am thinking about the rear wheels.

The front wheels as you said can just be turned out of the way but you do need the stubby posidrive screwdriver for the rears.

I would recommend them as without flaps you will find the paint on the rear arches gets badly pitted, very quickly. If it helps I had genuine parts fitted by an independent for £170 inc vat.

Jonesy has a set of those chinese copy ones, they look very good. I would search as you can get them cheaper.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
