Yes, a bit fiddly if you've got the rear air-con but not that bad a job.
The instructions say to completely remove the LH side panel, but with a little care it can be done by just disconnecting it at the back, it will flex enough to get the carrier in, might be better to wait until the weather warms up a bit though, some of these plastic trim parts go very brittle in the cold.Clive

As we only tow our caravan with the D4 we stow the tow hook in a side locker of the caravan - save the struggle to fix it in its official housing.LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

Easy job - even if you do follow the instructions and completely remove the rear LHS panel. Even the carpet cutting is easy as it's pre-perforated along the line you need to cut 2001 D2 GS (I must be mad!)
