Yes I have one similar just for winter use and place it over the LR mat, it does the job very well, the centre part is rubberised to stop stuff sliding about. It will come rolled up, you leave it for a day and it flattens itself, well worth the money 
Only issue as with the mat and dog guard if you want to use 7 seats you need to have a plan where to store it as even rolled up as with the mat it is bulky
