MY2012 Engine Lag/Hesitation While In Motion

I've recently replaced my MY2010 with a MY2012.

I was used to the odd hesitation at roundabouts and junctions occasionally with the MY2010 which seems to have been fairly normal for many owners.

However, with the 2012 I am regularly getting very noticeable engine lag/hesitation issues while drviving, commonly just easing off the accelertor peddle and putting back on, or after touching the breaks a litte.

I just get no response when hitting the gas for a good second or two or three (maybe it seems longer than it is) and then it just suddenly kicks in a goes, normally with a bit of force as I have pushed the pedal further due to lack of response.

I have only done just over 100 miles so far, should I give the engine a bit more of a chance to run in before I worry about it or should I get it back to the dealers asap?

Have any other 2012 oweners experienced the same problem?

Is the fault likey to be a sticky solenoid valve?

Mine's done over 4k and I'm getting this every now and then. I happened this afternoon as I was turning a corner into a side road, foot off the gas until I had completed the turn, as I applied the gas again, there was a pause and then we took off!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what causes it and I'd be interested to find outif it can be cured.

Neighbour of mine who has a 2012MY reckons his only does this when engine not fully warmed up....

I think it's just the way the fly-by-wire throttle works - takes a bit of getting used to.

Happened to me a few times but I just put it down to me not being used to the throttle setup - <500 miles covered so far.

Has woken me up a few times when it leaps into life and drops a few cogs!!

Got 2 MY12 HSE at work, one has done 800 miles the other 620 and neither of them display any hesitancy under throttle.
After only 100 miles the vehicle will not be run in and it will still be learning your driving style. I would definitely give it more time to settle before having it looked at.

Mine did this until 1000 miles then it seemed to get the hang of it. It occasionally gets it wrong but usually has a pretty good idea of what I am trying to achieve. I have read on here that it takes that long to learn your style.

The fuel economy also took a leap upwards at 1000 miles. Best is 39 indicated but I don't believe it.

Thanks for the replies.

I think I have been getting it a bit more than just now and then though. I will mention it to the dealers when I speak to them but I think I should get a few more miles on the clock and see how it pans out.
