Aviemore - eating recommendations |
|
Taking SWMBO for a well earned long weekend away in a couple of weeks, can anyone recommend any good eating places. Someone suggested the Old Bridge Inn and the Rowentree but wondered if there were any more decent places pubs/resturants in the area. I'm also told the Mountain Cafe do the best breakfasts. Any advice appreciated On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

Not a lot to choose from up there, maybe the McDonald Hotel but never tried it.
The Indian is good on the left as you enter the town but not the one further in on the right past the petrol station.
For the Bridge Inn though!

Been to the following :
Skiing Doo, Cairngorm Hotel and Roos Leap
All of which were spot on, and couldn't complain
We're up end of the month. There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

Should point out.........the above recommendations aren't some where I'd be taking a lady to WOW them !
Just good food at a reasonable price. There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

Cheers guys you've given me a few more names to choose from. We are staying with family in one of their cottages a few miles out of Aviemore but they don't eat out much so we plan to take them somewhere nice. Thanks for the names On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

In my experience it appeared that Aviemore had been twinned with Chernobyl 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
