If someone bought me a soup maker as a Mothers Day present... as ungrateful as it sounds.. it would be shoved where the sun don't shine (and I don't mean the back of the cupboard!)

That would be a bit ungrateful, as it's automatic it would save you time standing at the stove watching the soup so you could get more cleaning done, win, win situation as you would be happy and husband would be happy with clean home and properly made soup Thumbs Up

Wife is overwhelmed I think, can't speak Very Happy Anyway she is just finishing the ironing then will get the bus into town to get the veg & cheese, having broccoli & stilton, I told her to hurry up as I'm hungry, even got her coat and walking stick ready at the door for her, I'm off up the club for a pint, told her to ring me when it's done and bring some up to me in a flask with a crusty roll, then I can report back later Thumbs Up

Priceless Rolling with laughter

I bought mine a wine warmer for my red to be at the right temp for when I get home, saved her putting it anywhere else to keep warm . That and the remote heat on the disco,

For some reason she didnt see the logic in the time saving - oh well,
