Berghaus Cyclops ROC 3 Bergan/Rucksack
For sale, a used Berghaus Cyclops ROC 3 (long back) bergan. A rucksack legend, the thing is still made today (google the ‘Vulcan’ has a a few new fancy bits but it’s the same rucksack). This one is in great condition. It’s been well used, but is sound and is very comfortable to wear. (4 of them stack nicely on one side of the boot if you have a dog cage!) Note that one of the shoulder adjust buckles is missing. No idea when that happened; used it plenty since and it’s fine. Easily replaceable. Two side pouches included. The set up on the pack is great in that you can attach the pouches on the front and leave the sides for a tent or roll mat, or stick them on the side. This is a frame rucksack. It holds masses, but has compression straps also. £25 + postage or pick up (Andover).
PM me if interested. Thanks.

No, sorry.
I have another rucksack which is similar and which is from an army surplus store. Same size and colour. Pm me if you're interested, as I don't use it any more.PAGODA

I bought one of these Berghaus Cyclops long back bergans in about 1981. The best rucksack I have ever owned - still in active use today and remains in vgc ( unlike it's owner ).
When I first used it as a tom in 10 (V) Para in those non PC days I was told by a sergeant major it was a "pouf " bergan . Then someone was injured and due to it's brilliant design - comfort , load carrying ability etc I was then told to lend them my bergan - the Army issue one being heavy and whilst durable bloody awkward to carry - especially with 50lbs plus in it.
Apart from having to lend it to those injured the only other downside was having to use a wrap sheet around it when parachuting but pegasusbelleraphon you know that !
