Dealer Service Deal
Just looking through the paperwork I got with the D4 on Saturday and there is a dealer offer for the first 3 services.
Looks alright on first glance.
Anyone know the combined cost of the 16k, 32k & 48k ?
I can pay outright or by DD. £1279 incl VAT

Just remember if you take it up then you are a creditor to the dealership (should they go bump you'll lose it all), plus you can't shop around.
There was a thread discussing something similar on here a few months back.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I looked at this a while back and decided it wasnt worth it - all it mean was that the dealer had my money and i didnt save anything as pricing was based on their standard service pricing.Duncan

All good replies, particularly the point about being a creditor. We currently use a very good indie for our LR's and they did all work from day 1 on my D3.
My other thought about this service package is at some point you will need pads/discs or some other wearing part which you'll then get charged normal LR labour rates on top of service where as my indie uses genuine LR parts and approx £45/hr labour.
Was a bit miffed about the F & R lamp guards. Got dealer to supply & fit, £409 incl. VAT. Should have got them off ebay and done them myself as I did with D3. Cost me about £160 all in last time.

Plus if you get the RRH (right raving 'ump) with the dealer you're stuffed and have to still use him.
