Error message - only normal height available |
|
Error message popped up whilst driving today - only normal height available. Light went off on the ride height selector switch.
Drove on to where I was going, ab when starting up again everything normal.
Anyone else had this, and is it a warning of trouble ahead?
Ta.

I had it come on twice a couple of weeks ago when out green laning, switching off and on again cleared it also had a friend plug a faultmate in but no error codes were stored. I've been meaning to call into the dealers with it but haven't had a chance yet. Cheers Ian

This kept happening to me too. Last week it was in for a number of warranty bits and bobs and had them look at this. They said they have updated the software which should fix it.
Only been a few days and no repeat yet....

Well I was out and about today and the error message popped up again so I made a slight detour to the main dealers. It is booked in next Monday for a new compressor to be fitted They took it into the workshops to see what the problem was and so they could make sure they have the parts in stock.
When the young lady came back to tell me it was ready and the parts were on order she asked me if I used access mode much, I said yes as I have metal plates in my spine and a gammy leg so I tend to use access mode to get in and out. She then said "that's the problem then, the compressor is not designed to be used every time you get in and out and you have worn the compressor out" (The car is 6 months old with 9K miles on the clock)
When the mechanic brought my car around I had a much more sensible conversation with him He said it's just one of those things, some parts develop faults and mine has developed a fault on the compressor, he reckons it's not anything to do with using access height Cheers Ian

Meant to say Matt, if yours is still under warranty it may be worth getting it into the dealers to get checked out. Cheers Ian

Mine just threw this wobbly this morning as I turned off the main road onto another. Cleared after a restart, but then came back about 500yrds down the road.
Spoken with dealer about dropping by for confirmation of fault and they said yes come around but it sounds like a faulty compressor.

Finally got to see the dealers today and they confirmed Compressor is on the way out. Good news it'll be replaced under warranty; bad news....
You guessed it, they're on back order
Oh well at least it's not failed completely, yet
