Apologies in advance if this is posted in the wrong place, it just seemed to be the most obvious.
Having had a fair bit or rain around these parts over the last few days, I thought I might upload a few files from the BlackVue onto YouTube of the general road flooding and the images taken from the D3 driving through - passing all of the abandoned cars etc...
Now for most people this is probably straight forward, but for me - not so!
Anyone have any idea how to join the 1 minute segments together so that they form one clip?
Also, the file size of each 1minute clip is HUGE (55Mb), so uploading 10 mins video would take all day (if not days).
Surely that isnt right is it?
I have never uploaded anything onto YouTube before.
Any help greatfully received.

I'm sure there may be better ways but I normally use Windows Movie Maker, you can drag the various clips into the app and then edit them on there, once finished editing you can save it and upload it directly to Youtube or Faceache or wherever you like, MovieMaker will optimise the resolution and file size to suit the destination.
Works for me Clive
If you have a MAC, then you can use iMovie to do the same thing Mark.

Thanks for the replies!
Is it normal for a 1 minute file to be 55Mb? I know my Blackvue is the HD version, but that still seems like a huge file size to upload to YouTube....
Am I just being dim?
I use a PC by the way - no Mac access available. Sorry I should have said..!
Depends on the settings I would guess- I only have the SD version and a 5 minute file can be 50-75Mb - so at HD 55Mb for a 1 minute file sounds about right Mark.

As CRwoody has already said do a search for Windows Live Movie Maker, it's a free programme from Microsoft. Drag all the clips you want to join together into the right hand pane, then you can make any cuts you want to or edits and when you are happy with your video look for the Youtube icon on the top toolbar. This will save and upload your video in the correct format for Youtube and reduce the size of the video file.
The size of the clips is right if you are recording in 1080p HD, I have mine set to record 3 minute clips and they are 55mb bigCheers Ian
