Which is the best to buy?

go with the orig. Denso or have it refurbished.

It is more likely a cheap fix of the diode pack. No need to spend hundreds of sterling. Achim

Our local mechanics not sure of what they do. Will be lots of guess work, many trips to garage, lots spent and finally no success.

There is one who says he can repair for 300USD, which is like cost of buying new in UK?
Can't buy new in Kenya because quoted price 800USD.

Bought the car used. Not sure alternator on it is original. Better to buy and be sure.

Org. Denso. Will go online and see.

Not sure if these guys will courier to Kenya but got one off them in April, its a genuine Denso and was around R 4000.00 so around 270 USD

Finally got alternator. Denso from advanced factors.
Many thanks to Disco4ever, Paul and Steve.

Fitted it today. The check battery light did not go off. Do I need to clear it using IID?
