Hi
Is there any way of de-activating the powerfold mirrors only it's not very convenient when you have tow mirror extensions on. The hand book says 'the dealer can do it'. Can it be done by myself without a visit to the dealer?

Yes, it can be programmed off by dealer or someone with a Faultmate.
I initially thought the same, didn't like the idea of folding themselves.
But now I'm ok with it as thay fold ok with my towing mirrors attached.
Also key point is that you can visually see if the D4 is locked. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

i was told by dealer that they couldnt do it - they checked with LR and they said the same. I think Buelbeast managed it with a faultmate though after a bit of fiddling around. Duncan

Oldbarn,
I don't know what towing mirrors you're using, but I use Milenco Grand Aero (possibly some of the biggest available), and they cause no problems whatsoever when the mirrors fold.

they only cause problems if you attach them to the bottom of the D3 mirrors - attach mirrors to the top and they fold in fine Duncan

Hi Everyone
Many thanks for the posts, I only picked the D4 up on Tuesday pm and looking at the way the mirrors folded I thought it might give problems (for some reason on the D3 (09) I part/exchanged the mirrors did not fold). Having had a chance to fit the mirrors and seeing your posts I now feel confident that the mirrors will not interfere with car/windows when folded.
Cheers everyone.
