I'd rather have the security of a three ton one I think, but it's a good price .____

Is it suitable? Or shall i stick to those on offer in halfords?
thanks
Not really no, I have one of these from machinemart (the very similar Clarke one) and while it is rated at 2T, it struggles to lift one corner of my 306 GTi which weighs about 1300KG. plus it won't really have the height to lift your D3 off the ground.
Get the 3T one from Costco or Machinemart. Much better suited!2014 D4 XS
2005 D3 SE - Gone
Yeah, should have bought one at the same time I collected yours
I'm holding off buying anything else as the manufacturers have slighted revised the design and it's now a 3.5T variant in Black, so hoping the CostCo, who are the only UK distributors, will get stock next year
Not so much interested in the 3.5T rating as the fact this is a low profile jack and can do both my D4 and SWMBO's little Toybota IQ 8)
Just managed to collect me Arcan XL30R Trolley jack - many thanks to DiscoDunc for remembering my request and spotting them back in at CostCo They must have had some stock held back or delayed in transit/customs as according the ARCAN the model isn't made any more and has been replaced by the XL35R.
Brilliant bit of kit

You sure the 'ultra low lift profile' will give you enough height to jack the D4 through it's long suspension travel ?...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
