Having ordered genuine LR paint spray and clear lacquer kit, what primer do I get? (ebay). Do I get acrylic primer, does it matter? Is all car paint now acrylic?

I've just done the grill mod and used halfords grey plastic primer for a java black paint. and its worked fine, even with my shody prep work

Thanks but that's primer on plastic, this is for spraying on metal. I'm not sure if different paints arent compatible for example and they dont stick, or will react.
I'm trying to stop rust and my painting skills are average to say the least!
