IPhone connection on D4 - moved quite simply

I dislike having to put my phone away in the centre console, as I have CemerAlert and such on it, why companies feels the need to hide it away, with not other options, I don't know. Embarassed

I had resorted to just using a standard 12V USB charger for my Brodit Clip.

Whilst installing my coolbox, I noticed the cable routing for the lead and it has a mid point connector... got me thinking.

So, I unclipped the cable and routed the cable around to under the steering wheel, in the air vent hole..

No trim or cable was was cut or damgaged during this mod, although the flaps were taken out the vent.

It can be put back to original condition when required.

This is not the tidiest mod I have done, but it is function over form!

It means I can now easily change my USB music (smaller stick required! Mad ) and also plug my IPhone into the car from my brodit bracket.

I will tidy the job when I get some time....

If you wanted to cut a hole somewhere in the console, you could have a cracking result
