I have a noise when the air con slows down from the centre console. sounds like the plastic cracking. only happens the once but annoying enough. no idea what yours is. Sure it isnt a mouse stowed away ? could be worse, when I was a kid my Dad picked me up from Fishing in his Renault 25. He asked whether the lid to the maggots in the boot was on alright to which i said yes without checking.....
Got home and there were maggots everywhere and they managed to get into every nook and cranny. He wasnt best pleased. For three weeks my Dad was sharing his car with hundreds of blue bottles .......
wasnt happy

Brilliant story ...not so brilliant for your Dad though!
Safe to say Im pretty sure there's no mouse in there... It's not a loud squeaking noise either, just every now and again it will happen. No Drama's, just wondered if anybody had experienced this in their D3's. Cheers,
Adam

The hard plastics rubbing and moving against each other will always make a noise.... mine does and it does annoy. I guess the only way is to take it apart and use trial and error with tape and other insulating materials until the cause is found.
Beware - once you've found one, it will make a noise somewhere else

Hi Adam,
if you find that it's speed related .... it's probably coming from outside the vehicle.
The clips on my A-pillar trim (up the edge of the windscreen) are broken .... at 70mph (ish) they squeak as the wind catches them.
Funnily enough, sometimes it sounds like it coming from the dashboard or centre console.
cheers
Rich Despite the cost of living, it remains as popular as ever!
