Fantastic Pictures, stunning scenery just wish I'd had more time to explore last time I was there Clive
Yellowstone is amazing - shame we did not see any bears this time (3 last time). Shame West Yellowstone is such a dump, we won't be staying there again.'80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!

We saw bear mum with two cubs from far away near the petrified tree lay-by. Apart from moose, elks and of course bisons
West Yellowstone was the most expensive hotel of our entire trip....
edit: just noticed your location - we did some shopping at the Park City outlets on the way to Yellowstone D3 XS Manual - gone
Last time we were there we saw a black bear kill a baby deer; our daughters were in tears, but that's nature. The bear nearly had dessert, as there were a bunch of Japanese tourists creeping up to it through the trees to take pictures, until a warden arrived to get them away.
Talking of gross stupidity, there were a couple of other Darwin award moments. First time we were there a group of Indian tourists walked off the raised boardwalk onto the crust next to a boiling pool to get a better picture
Then this time there was a mum telling her child to stick it's hand in the water running out of geyser to see if it was hot....
Unbelievable.
West Yellewstone is a rip-off, they know they have a captive audience. Very poor service, which is rare for the US. We won't be staying there again.
Ah, the good old outlet mall, love it. Levi's 501's for the equivalent of 20 quid. Cannot complain Did you get into Old Town at all?'80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!

Yep, stupidity of some people is unbelievable - they were stepping out of the cars to take close up picture of bisons which were tearing up small trees with their horns. They were quickly told off by the wardens
Have bought some Levi's (of course) and too much other stuff didn't really stop anywhere else as we had tight schedule.... our tour was 22 days 6.5k miles Distances in US are not short that's for sure. D3 XS Manual - gone

Got to agree really Gary; I really do feel lucky we ended up here. 2 years and we'll be applying for citizenship - I'll be a Yank
It's got it's downsides, like anywhere, but overall we love it here.
P.S. There is an standing invitation for any visitors to the West to pop in for a cuppa '80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!
