Discovery 4 XS ordered today

Orkney Grey and ebony leather with privacy glass and... choke.... carpets! You would have thought that carpets would come with a new car wouldnt you? bit like wheels and mirrors?? rant rant rant. Anyway, really looking forward to it, expected delivery in March.

This will be my third discovery and fourthLand Rover. The first discovery being a V8 petrol when I lived in Toronto and bought new in 1994 before moving to New York in 1995. Following 18months of electrical - car wouldnt start - problems. Big Cry the very kind manager of the Westchester land rover dealership took pity on me and organised through Land Rover North America for me to get a brand new replacement in exchange for a token amount of money to reflect that I had used the car over the previous 18 months. Very Happy The replacement V8 petrol gave 5 years of trouble -free service until I returned home to England in 2001. It was brilliant in the snow - loved that car. Thumbs Up

Bought an Evoque in March having persuaded myself that it was big enough to qualify as a replacement for my aging Galaxy. But it simply did not prove big enough for my families needs so had to sell to buy the D4. Crying or Very sad Only regret is that I didn't wait a bit longer to sell it now that we are covered in snow. Didn't realise they don't come with mats anymore as my HSE did back in the day. Guess I will have to buy some for my D4 when it arrives. Rolling Eyes
