LANDROVER DISCOVERY 3 2.7V6 Commercial (2005) £10,995

This is a great example of the ever-popular Land Rover Discovery 3. The great thing about being a 2005 model is that it falls under the lower tax bracket at £245 for 12 months. This vehicle has 12 months MOT and a full service history. The vehicle has done 108k miles and runs like new. Spec as follows:

Metalic Red, 2 X keys, 19” HSE Alloys, 2.7 TD V6 DIESEL 190 BHP 6 SPEED MANUAL, 5 doors, station wagon, 5 good tyres including 3 new, privacy glass rear quarters, side steps, self leveling height adjusting air suspension, HDC (hill decent control), CD player, Multi-speaker sound system A/C, Climate control, Multi Airbags, Fog lights, Immobilizer, ABS, DSC, Dimming rear view mirror, It has the standard low and high range setting for the gear box, also its has the active differential for different terrains like snow, sand, ruts etc, this model has also been fitted with a diesel fired heater (which means in cold conditions it uses this heater to heat the air so you can clear the windscreen and warm the vehicle quicker a great mod for the snowy conditions)

pretty sure they didnt make commercials in 05 they were all conversions. So no VAT and its not a van for tax purposes e.g. on the V5 would be my guess.

Spot on - this lovely example will have been a dealer or specialist conversion from a 5 seat base model. I know because I bought our 55reg as a very similar commercial - ours was done by a Yorkshire LR dealer from new as a tax dodge for a local haulier - it was never used a van. When I went to pick it up, the seller mentioned he had all the bits that had been taken out and asked if I would like them for free - I did him the courtesy of taking the 'useless' brand new parts away Mr. Green . Once we had done with it as a van, I put it all back to original. It was never registered as a commercial class N1- it was always classified as M1 on the V5 (as created by LR) so has never benefited from commercial road tax at £215pa.
