| GG ATs Vs more road biased tyre - Zero's???? |

Hi guys
Just picked up the discovery a few hours ago, enjoyed my drive back.
So I came from a sporty BMW so this is quite a change for me. When I did the deal the car was on very worm scorpions Zero's. I argued with dealer and managed 4 new tyres to be thrown in to the deal. When I picked up the car it was fitted with GG ATs and I'm not sure I like the look of them. I'm not planning any major offroading, just a bit on the beach and fielding so I'm wondering if I'm better off arguing with the dealer for more road biased tyres. I feel like the car is moving around a lot but I know it's no 3 series, however I am sure I can hear the treads singing and it's annoying me. What should I do.. Dealer says if I want to change then we will have to have a discussion.

Stick with the GG AT's,you wont be disappointed with on road use and they will last a lot longer!

I'll second that, mine are on 10K and barely even look like they have sarted to wear. Excelent handlng in wet which I didn't get from the zero's, also I've never had any problem on sand, snow, wet grass, mud or any other suface I've tackled, like you said, it's not a 3 series. If you really nail it into a corner tyre squeal is possible but my nerves would give out before doing that a second time.
There is plenty of grip with these tyres, as an incident with a 3t trailer proved to me, and I don't find them too noisy, about the same as wintrac extremes, maybe quieter.

They are great tyres.
Maybe you need to firstly check the tyre pressures, and then adjust them to suit your preferences?

I used to have goodyear f1's on the disco and then swapped to gg at's.
Without a doubt, the at's are noisier, especially at 30mph and 60mph.
The handling is a little different, but not significantly so.
I wouldn't say it was any less predictable .... However, I don't drive it like a sports car so cant comment on how it behaves near the limit of grip.
I'd also estimate that the mpg decreased by ~1.5mpg when I fitted the AT's.
However .... I wouldn't go back. I like the extra shoulder protection that they give the rims. I like the grip they have in muddy fields and the more comfortable ride through potholes. I'm looking forward to bad weather, especially the snow where the f1's were not good at all ... and as others have mentioned, they seem to be lasting well.

Guys, I've called land rover experience and they use either Zero's or wranglers depending on what's supplied so if it's good enough for the land rover experience, it's good enough for me. So I think I'll try selling the GG ATs here. Is 550 for a set of four with just 100 miles on them unreasonable?

I'd agree with the other posts, keep them they are very good tyres, most would be pleasantly surprised if their dealers put them on as 'standard'! You will regret swapping them for all the reasons stated above! Wranglers get noisy when they wear a bit and they just don't last.
Plus the Grabber's make the car look more purposeful, it is a 4x4 after all so decent tyres should go with the territory IMHO  2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I changed from Pirellis to Grabber AT's in Apr this year & wish i'd done it sooner, the Pirellis i found to wear quite easily.
No real difference in road noise since changing, have done around 8k since the change & they still look like new. Paul.

Ok so that's been a week now and I'm going to be fine with them. The whine is fine and prob no worse than many sports cars with huge tyres (ie my old Porsche) the grip seems fine on the road but now I feel a real need together these chunky beasts off road!
