Parrot Car Phone Kit Fitting

Anyone got any info on fitting a parrot bluetooth car phone kit to a TDV6SE.
Radio or centre console has to come out to allow kit to be wired to plug units on rear.
Easy to do apparently once the radio etc is out.
HELP Confused

I had a parrot fitted to my wife's peugeot but didn't do it myself.

As you say, once the radio is out, connecting is easy. Seeing some pictures on this server I would never start doing it myself (I don't have the experience and the patience). Then there is the problem of finding suitable ways for the cables: there is a cable to the unit and one to the microphone.

The peugeot dealer did it in about 2 hours.

The parrot is OK, I just didn't like their bracket. It doesn't swivel enough, which means you can't fit it on a part of the dashboard that is turned away from the driver. And that is exactly where I wanted the unit: on the passenger's side next to the central console. We left a part of the old Nokia bracket in place and fitted the parrot bracket on half of the nokia bracket.

Parrot car kit

Hi

I am looking at fitting on of these to my disco

They do 2 and the one I want is the 3200ls colour screen

Best price I can find is fonejunkie at £189.99 fitted
http://www.fonejunkie.com/

basically they sell you the box with the kit in and then a national installation firm arrange to fit it for you but you pay the full price to fonejunkie

The only thing extra that you will need is a conversion lead that is £30 for base disco stereo but not sure of price on harmon kardon

I want to see the bracket to enable me to decide where to put it

Hope this helps

Cheers

Very easy. You need a 4 Torx driver.

Pull off the instrument console side panels - there are 3 or 4 securing clips. Hold your breath and give it a good tug (the panel, that is).

Once you've got both sides off, you will see the Torx screws.

You need to release the heating control panel first, then release the head unit and slide it out (the head unit, that is).

You can then get to the back.

Reinstall in reverse.

I've a parrot fitted, although by a specialist. Didn't take long. Removal of the stereo surround is straight forward, just need to be brave and tug as said above.

I've pics in my gallery.

Just had a parrot 3200 professionally fitted to my LR3 SE. Took the guy about 50 minutes and works brilliantly.

Parrot 3200 ls

Hi
Where did you have it mounted and did you need an aftermarket bracket
Did you have to buy an extra lead as mentioned above

Also can you tell me is the screen brightness adjustable or fixed

I take it also that when you receive / make a call it mutes the cars stereo

Loook forward to your reply - just the info I need before ordering this week

Cheers

Not sure if there was any answer to this question, but I'm going to fit a Parrot to my D3 when it arrives. I have put a Parrot CK3100LCD in my other car recently and it seems to work well.

To answer the above questions:-

1. The screen brightness is adjustable - and it auto-dims after a 30 sec or so period of non-use.
2. It mutes the radio automatically. I was concerned about this feature potentially not working on my car (no radio mute function), but it works fine as the Parrot interfaces between the radio & speakers. It was all plug & play to fit. The only problem I had was to find a switched 12v supply - that was just a feature of my car.

The voice control works well - once programmed, you can just say "phone" followed by the name of the person to call and off it goes..!

cheers

Hi James, mine is fitted as shown below, and yes the extra lead makes life a bit easier.

The location its placed makes it easy to use as its close to the steering wheel.
