Had to collect this today !!!
Evening all,
As title i had to collect this VW combo camper from sandwich today, and bring it back to stoke, what a bloody trek.
Anyway i couldnt believe what the guy had paid for it...untill he told me what had been paid out on it and what it would be worth when done, he allready has one he has done that he is about to sell,
he rekons you could pick em up dirt cheap ten years ago
Bought for £7000
ins paid out £20.000
was gobsmacked
Cheers

Highly collectable cars now I owned one when I was 19 and sold it for £300.00 great car if you get a good one.
The guy next door to me is restoring the Beetle fast back with the 1800cc engine in he's been doing it for 4 years now and he has another beetle that only gets used when its sunny so not used a lot lately lol..
Looks like some dumb ass has tried to use the a frame on the front to pull it.

Lol
i aint taking on anyone, just me myself and i, lol
looked out for him today ,as i havn`t yet seen him due to not getting down that way normally, i rekon he might go to the place i went too.
yeh its good to be earning again,
dont like talking about D3 and problems lol, but running fine atm although i did have a wheel bearing collapse on the trailer today , luckily was only half an hour from home on the salt box cafe, so i just took the wheel off and came home like that , didnt feel any different luckily it was only a 1.5 ton camper on and not 2800kg of access platform or plant.

would not want to drive that around after a fire like that, serious heat and would have thought serious issues with loss of strength.

You beat me too it beanie
Didn't they remap it with a couple of dodgy turbos, then had to run it normally aspirated to get it to the show on time...
