Mega-screw awning pegs...

Has anyone used these? Often the hardest bit putting up the awning is hammering all the pegs into a hard standing pitch! Do they work, and more importantly, do they last without bending?

Problem is Ray, they look like they need a big hammer to drive them in! I was hoping to be a lazy git and use my cordless drill to peg out.

Those look like tooth picks - I bent up some 12mm diameter stainless pegs, 12" long with a gnarly point on the end.

They muller through any rocks or hard ground, secure the awning in any wind.

Gareth I tried the screw pegs, they are fine in soil but proper hard standings even with a 24volt drill are a pain in the Censored . I just use a club hammer and rock pegs, Ray's look like they would be good.

What about using Concrete screws. OK they do not come with the fancy plastic head but are designed for concrete

You might just need to find long ones.
