Fitting a spare wheel winch on a D4
Hi All,
First post - so go easy on me!
My spare alloy has been nicked - I was wondering how easy it is to fit a new spare wheel winch? I've seen them online for about £90 - but are they relatively easy to fit or are they a pig?
Thanks

Hi, as far as I know they are pretty easy to fit but you will probably get a better price from forum sponsor Nick AKA TLO parts manager at Yeovil Land Rover. Also before you replace your spare wheel I would highly recommend you get a spare wheel protector from Ray because you can bet your life the scum that nicked your first wheel will be checking for when you put a nice new one on. Cheers Ian

Try the Nick(The large one) at sponsers Yeovil Landrovers, not £90 for sure even with delivery and they have the latest version which has been improved to stop the theiving so and so's.
Did mine a couple of weeks ago, very easy six nuts and the old one is off, replace with new and refit nuts, 15 -20 min job which would cost over £100 at a dealer D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST
