Thanks all for the buying advice. looking to buy a new HSE with delivery in May or June. question is, when do i approach dealer to get maximum clout in that month or Qtr and get that delivery?

Dealers make about 13% on new cars, but more on accessories. If they had your model in the showroom, then you would do better to go near the end of the month as unsold stock would be carried over to the next month (doesn't look good for their accounts). As you are ordering a new one, I am not sure it would make much difference. When I bought my Defender, last year I got 9% off, plus a few odds and sods thrown in. I would go to them with the spec you want and ask them what their best price is, then go to several other dealers and try the same. I did that when I bought my VW Golf last year. 3 dealers, 3 very difference prices. Once I found the cheapest, I began negociations!!!
