| Disco build time? Delayed further |

Hi,
I ordered a brand new XS Orkney Grey on 10th July. I contacted the dealer today to find out when I am likely to get my car being 8 weeks (I was quoted 8-12 weeks).
I was told they were unable to give a build date as I had been moved onto the 2013 model list.
They were also unable to tell me what the differences were from te 2012 as this had not been released.
Does this sound right to anyone else ?

I ordered mid August and have been given an estimate build for mid October ...so it's about par IMO  21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I think the 2013my build starts in November  at least thats what the dealer told me

I ordered last Sunday, get next Friday, I'm so glad they had one sat in the showroom, same colour and spec  Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I think the big decision is it worth the wait for the 2013 build, not knowing if there are any upgrades from the 1012my

I suspect very minor points tbh ...a few new colours perhaps ....prep for major changes that require retooling etc are normally done in the summer shutdown which is well gone 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I have also been told the same went to the dealers to place an order on the D4 and was told late December 2013 spec which will have a different colour leather choice.

I've finally been given a build date of 9/11  I've also been told there is a price increase of £347.67 (on the XS model) but that the standard spec now includes the Premium Navigation.
I'm not sure if anything else in the standard spec has changed but I am happy to post it here if it will help anyone.
Just realised the price increase I quoted is the military one so it will probably be c.£400 on the general list price.

Nathan do you per chance want a low milage ex rental?? Of which i've put about 1/2 the miles on it
Cant believe they can make someone wait so long for the car they ordered. You wouldn't get that at argos and the same principle applies really!! FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner

Was with the LR dealer today and was told that my D4 was going into production next week and it would be part of the 2013MY and that I could expect delivery 2 weeks later. Count yourself lucky that the price increase in the UK was only £400. I just got hit for €945 (£750) guess I won't be getting that Hi-Ice upgrade after all.
