Suspension fault at 1500 miles |
|
Car has been fine until today when I drove it along a rutted, icy track and the yellow hazard light popped up with a 'suspension warning'. I stopped the car, restarted it, light was out so I tried to raise the suspension and got a message saying 'suspension with raise when system cooled', along with the yellow hazard light
I then tried to lower the suspension and according to the rocker switch it was back to cruising height however, strangely after we had stopped and I was out of the car, I am convinced the car lowered itself.
And the yellow suspension warning hazard is still on.
Can anyone shed any light on what the problem might? Help Find Missing Angel

Just got an e-mail from LR
'Land Rover have identified a concern on a limited number of air suspension compressors.
Affected vehicles may experience reduced or no air suspension functionality.'
Suggest you get in touch with your dealer and see if your chassis number is one of those affected.

KD would help big time if we knew what your car was, how old & is the 1500 miles from new or when you got it. Without that any speculation is meaningless.
And I wonder why the post was reported, dodgy link in sig line? Otherwise, apart from lack of info, just a run of the mill post.

It seems to be a late 2012 D4.
Simply take it back to a LR dealer & have it fixed under warranty.

Agreed, chuck it back at the stealer then tell us what was wrong. Sounds like an iffy compressor though.

Could well be the compressor on my 2011 D4 I had the yellow light and the message saying to wait for it to cool down, the dealer replaced the compressor and no problems after that You say you saw it lower when you got out, by how much? As the car does sometimes adjust itself when you get out when it auto levels. Cheers Ian

Hello, sorry, hadn't checked in for a while and didn't receive notifications that there had been replies.
I should have explained initially - its a 2013 MY so 1500 miles from new. It has been into the local dealers this week and they have replaced a part - something to do with the compressor - I will know more tomorrow when I collect it. Quite annoying though for it to happen on a brand new car.
Will report back once I have it back.

Collected it this morning and apparently the service centre was told by LR to replace the compressor and return the removed one to the technical team at LR. Whether this means they are going to investigate this particular fault further I don't know....
Have to say though as a result of the fault I've had my first dealings Team Valley LR Service Centre and I am v impressed.

Do returned items ever actually get looked at or is it just a fob to customers and they get bunged in the big pile of other duff compressors or just skipped?

Sorry, perhaps I didn't make it clear when I posted earlier, there is a LR recall for certain (D4) cars with specific chassis number as a result of a faulty batch of air suspension compressors.
Looks like yours was one of them unfortunately, but glad you are sorted now.
