Newbie taken the plunge with a D4 Landmark |
|
Hi Folks,
I have been browsing this site for while now but really didn't have much to contribute, looking forward to meeting some new folks on here.
Well after a year of looking, pondering and worrying I finally took the plunge and put the deposit down on a 2011 D4 landmark. I loved it since the moment I saw it. Its got the original warranty till April 2014. Only 7000 miles
I have to go back in to Strastones on Saturday to sign some paperwork and go through a check list of available extras. I take it they must be talking about further extending the warranty, gap insurance, wheel and tyre insurance etc etc. I've pretty much stretched myself to afford this car and don't won't too much more to pay. Is there anything you experienced guys think I should take?
Looking forward to next Sunday !!!
Marco

If you're after Gap insurance or Tyre insurance talk to Kam one of the sponsors on here.

Btw, you sure it's a proper Landmark as there's so many wannabes about. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

And don't believe they are a limited edition. They are only really limited in numbers by the world's supply of iron ore & plastic.

Its in Fuji white. Hope it is a real landmark given it's coming from Landrover approved!!
Will look into GAP and tyre cover? What the best plan for the warranty, extend now or wait till the other runs out?
Managed to blag a free service next year, had one 2 months ago. Full tank of fuel and 2-3 experience days, looking forward to them.

And don't forget to order a RLD spare wheel protector from forum sponsor or it will get nicked. Displaced Yorkshireman.

Got my GAP from Kam today, pick her up on Saturday, 2nd test drive today was great. Had to go up on a grass verge to get by a tractor on a single track road. Luv'c it, this machine is going to bring much joy.
