Last year, I had my HP IPAQ 69xx series PDA working with BT in a D3 2006MY without any problem.
When trying to activate the PDA with BT in my 2007MY, pairing the devices seems to work, but I'm not able to connect my PDA - 'No phone fitted' on the D3 display.
I tried another PDA (same model) without success.
When using my Nokia, BT seems to work fine on 2007MY.
Could it have something to do with a difference in software between 2006MY and 2007MY?

Doh! Double post. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I must have had 6 or 7 iPaqs in the last couple of years and without fail their bluetooth connectivity has been useless, regardless of the BT headset or car kit I was using. They've been pretty unreliable as 'phones generally, hence me going through 3 or 4 a year, all courtesy of Vodafone. That's why my last two handsets have been 9300s.
Can't comment on the 06vs07 BT PTI, but the iPaq tends to be very picky about what it will or won't pair with.
As you haven't had problems with your last car, have you checked the security settings on the iPaq? It's quite easy to leave it paired to one device and hidden from all others, which may explain your problem? I seem to remember the settings were not as intuitive as they are on most Nokias.
Hope this helps. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

don't know if this is of any use...not too good on this stuff.
I got an ipaq 63xx with Parrot bluetooth fitted. the 'no phone fitted' appears on the screeen, only when 'phone' button pressed. But I am able to use this hands free, no problem! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Hi All,
Still no luck with the IPAQ - Should be a LR software issue.
Meanwhile swapping SIM card between Nokia and IPAQ.

My iPAQ 6915 works just fine with my Parrot CK3100. As well as the phone connectivity, it syncs numbers and also plays the media player and TomTom via the Parrot - brilliant.
Best device I have ever had, all the functions in one neat unit.
cheers

Sad thing is that it worked on integrated BT LR 2006MY - That is why I ordered the LR PTI in the first place.
