Sean,

If you are in a rush any garage with an Autologic should be able to activate it. A quick google says Brooklyn 4x4 have Autologic.

Might be worth a telephone call to make sure their software is up to date and they are happy to do it. Shouldn't be longer than 10 minutes. And you can get your timed climate done/tow electrics also if needed at the same time.

Cheers Stenh02, I know Brooklyn and they are very very busy but worth a try, tow electrics where done by Pompy dealer, but still need the remote heater and camera done so i'll give them a try, I really need the reversing camera as I back up to lots of different trailers and already have a couple of dings on the bumber

Cheers

Sean

There maybe other places. Google is your friend.

Is the thread with the distorted pics on the video diagnostic screen to hopefully put your mind at rest.

I'm trying to fit a rear view camera to my 2011 D4 Commercial.
I don't appear to have the power and Fakra connectors already in the loom. I have run a coaxial cable to the front for the video signal, and was going to tee into the auxiliary power socket in the rear, when I found this connector behind the rear quarter panel, covered in foam and taped up:

Can anyone tell me what it is for and if I can use it to power my camera. Cables colours are green/white and black/white which I was hoping might signify 12V + earth.

It looks like an airbag connector. Steer clear of it.

you can use the rear Aux socket, or you can also use the reverse light 12v supply so it only comes on when the reverse camera is on. But the reverse screen will be on for longer than the reverse lights, so ign switched live may be better. Depends on how you want to do it, but both ways will work.

Hi Guys,

Right I've got all the wires fitted and been to Green Oval in leeds today to get the camera activated, Dealt with a chap called Brian, very helpful but we didn't managed to get things sorted Sad just got the black screen

He is using the auto logic system, but we couldn't find two settings as mentioned Triumph_dave, so can anyone help with the auto logic settings or is there anyone near me WF10 West Yorkshire with a fault mate system?

Brian also mentioned that I have a faulty headlight, I've only had the car 3 week and Rocar Moores put a 12 month MOT on it before I picked it up, I wonder how they did that with a faulty headlight???

Thanks
Grant

What do you mean by black screen?

When you select reverse do you get the black and white image of the car or a blank screen?

If it's a blank screen and you touch it does it then revert back to the image of the car?

If not then the CCF write hasn't worked. There are two settings.

See last post on this page. http://www.disco4.com/forum/topic87553-135.html.

Hi Stenh02

Thanks for your response...

On selecting reverse I get the blank screen, press it and I get the normal car sensor reverse image....

I showed that forum topic to Brian at Green Oval yesterday but he could only find one setting with his Autologic diagnostic tool

Just need to find a man with IIDtool or Faultmate to change the second setting I think? CDS (site sponsor) has offered to do this for me when he is over my way, just hope its soon Very Happy

Thanks
Grant

Is it the same camera and loom part numbers for MY15?

I'm defiantly going to fit this Smile Didn't realise it would be that easy!

That happened when I intalled mine. I hadn't pushed the fakra cable in far enough to the back of the sat nav head unit or the join below the gear selector.

The car is looking for the input as it goes to the blank screen. So CCF seems to have been updated. Check connections are secure. A bit of a faff but worth a shot.

Regarding the 2015MY - I am not sure if it's the same job. Pre 2012 was a different connector to post 2012 and the newer cameras are different (worse?) in the newer models. Maybe someone who has done a newer MY will tell us.
