Water in diesel message

Just got a message on the dash, water in diesel refer to user manual.

Looking at the manual it says contact dealer, can it be done DIY?

What's involved & is it an easy job. Any online links on how to drain water in filter?

Probably worth calling LR Assist as a first go. See what they say/do.

On a D3 it is just a small tap on the fuel filter for a quick open and close to let the water out. I would be surprised if it is much different on a D4.

Of course it could be a knackered sensor ...that's what mine was on my D3 Whistle
Drained my D3 to find no water & message still there !! New Sensor from TLO sorted it tho Thumbs Up

So if you are still under warranty I would take it back to dealer Thumbs Up
 Cheers Ian

I had he same message, followed the instructions on the site for draining but to no avail. The sensor was kaput. A warranty job and it was sorted.
