Right, I've gone one better, there is now a "Set as my avatar" button in the info panel under images in the gallery. Click this and if you see "Done!" then your forum avatar is changed automatically without the need to copy-and-paste 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

That sounded like a great idea Martin, but why it's done is kill off the only simple route we had for copy and paste of uploaded forum pictures from Apple iPad or phone

Mr H this is what I do, go to the image, tap on the avatar line, select all and copy, go back to the topic, tap the img button paste in the link, tap img again.
Then to get the full size picture delete the words avatar_ from the pasted in link

Err, can I just say in my defence that I had absolutely no idea that it was being used for that?
I'll look into this selection issue again but can I stress that Apple have made it very difficult to do this easily.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Right, I believe I have FINALLY cracked this for iPad/iPhone and the fields, when tapped, will now correctly highlight and pop up the Cut/Copy/Paste controls on those devices.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
