Hi
Having been reading other post about cars not starting in minus temperatures, I seem to be experiencing the same problem.
Typically it's snowing and now the old girl won't start. On the assumption that it is a glow plug issue, does anyone have any sensible suggestion on what I could do to help start her ? I assume there's no block heater or any such thing available.
Once she starts she fine, no running problems, no lumpiness and runs all day perfectly. But leave her over night and that's obviously when it cools down and the problems start. (maybe I'll rap the engine in an electric blanket or run a blow heater out side over night lol )
Anyway, any help appreciated
Matt

Your profile doesn't tell us which car you have.
But assuming it's diesel rather than petrol you already have a "block heater" the on board Fuel Burning Heater.

I assume you are waiting for the glow plug light to go out before trying to start it?
Try reheating a second time EG once the glow plug light goes out, turn the ignition off then straight back on again and wait for the light to go out again then try to start it. You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!
