Thermostat housing replace V8 |
|
Hi all
I have just had the thermostat housing replaced.
LR recommended total replacement of the unit, ok with that, but seems strange that the cooling system has so many plastic parts and a critical part joins the hoses to the block via a plastic part. Not best design me thinks.
Sorry for the rant but beware V8 owners, not sure about diesel ones.

Now the engine light is on, checked manual, says its all about exhaust and alike.
Any suggestions, will be taking it back to LR for what appears to be not yet competent repair job
Cheers

Dunno about the exhaust fault code issue but most modern engind come with plastic bits for the cooling system and they are all prone to failure. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
