BEWARE, these are grey imported models, the seller is NOT an authorised GoPro retailer, you have NO UK warranty Thumbs Up

The camera I sold to Steve had an issue with the battery, it was the brand new battery from my Black version I had bought and was unused, luckily I had bought it from a UK company with full warranty, I had a replacement the next working day, Steve will confirm this, so be careful and work out the risk yourself, if they go wrong there are no user fixable parts apart from battery. Wink

If you do not buy in this country then you have to return it to the country it was purchased in at your expense, if you don't know and the serial number has been removed then you are pretty much Censored ed. You get NOTHING for NOTHING, YES you have a warranty but only in the country of purchase, it applies to cameras and any other items you may bring back from the US, this is well known, but as I said YOU take the risk so don't cry later Thumbs Up

Reading through that whole thread, it seems that photo direct sorted the issue. It also seems amazon themselves (not market place or fulfilled) have sold some like this. It also seems go pro have still done warranty work even with serial numbers.

I don't think anyone is saying that you can't take a punt, just do your own risk assessment, from my experience I have preferred the risk free after care (and it worked just this week, how long would it have taken to get a battery from PhotoDirect?), hence shopping at John Lewis for some stuff, so as I said BUYER BEWARE, don't come back here crying it's all gone wrong Thumbs Up
