Another Bluetooth PTI question - SE K800i

Hello,

Am looking at a new D3 with the PTI kit on board. Questions as follows:

I am unclear as to the differnt levels of functionality afforded of cradle vs no cradle.

As far as I can see there is no supported cradle for the Sont Ericsson K800 i but people seem to be using it via bluetooth with no problems. Can anybody confirm the faunctionality available via the bluetooth only method i.e. can you download the phonebook to the car via bluetooth for easy access to numbers etc or are you limited to onlt receiving incoming calls and making outgoing calls by dialling via the phone (or radio keypad ?) and then the PTI system picking up the audio for the call ?

No phone book, but if you have voice activation you can store numbers there. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Just to elaborate on what Pelyma says, your SE K800i will work fine via bluetooth. You don't get the phone book over bluetooth (like you do with a Parrot kit), but you get everything else. You get caller display on the dash, dialling via radio buttons and on/off hook via steering wheel. You also have voice dialling and can save voice tags and numbers (in the car, not on the phone).

To make a finish off a bluetooth phone install, get a Brodit charging cradle from DSL Developments. See my gallery pics here. Matt
