MY13 8 Speed, 255 bhp it is slightly quicker than the 245bhp 6 speed- less hesitation and holding a gear. IMO it is the 8 speed box that really makes the difference , it just makes the Disco ready to do what it has to immediately, no matter if that is up hill or down dale the response is instant. Well impressed D4 3.0 SDV6 GS 13

3.0 TDV6 Auto lower power (210/215) ?? One of the two
And 3.0 TDV6 Auto 245bhp
XS and HSE were all 3.0 and probably most were 245
At this time DPF was an Option (mine had it I didn't buy brand new- but had been specced DPF and 245).
Now all have DPF as standard maybe it was since the SDV6- someone will know. All SDV6 are higher power output too now.
My one was 3.0 GS but I can't recall what the power ouitput was for sure. I bought it off the forecourt as it was a display model, so never specced it up. But I am pretty sure it was a 215. I could be wrong though... are you suggesting they came standard with 245 unless you wanted the lower engine in 3.0L?
So what was the difference in change between the old TDV6 and the MY11 SDV6? The DPF?
They have the TDV6 nowadays in 215 don't they? God, they're getting as bad as VW and their TDi with the red lettering!!! If in doot, flat oot!!

There's a lower power TDV6 like you say-
I am not entirely sure, but I think back then the higher output was the option rather than specifying lower power.
And yes, I had many 1.9 TDI A6s A4s it was crazy if all the letters were silver it was a 90 or 110 brake horse. Red I and 130 horsepower. And a Red DI and it meant you had 150 2023 Ineos Grenadier 3.0 Diesel Commercial

I have TDV6 2012 8speed, my college has 2010 SDV6 6speed. His is a little bit more powerfull but I am sure that 8 speed gearbox is what makes diffrence. Smoother, quiter, comfortable feeling.... I would find 8speed instead of stronger engine. RRS 2006 TdV6
