Takla Exhaust jack
I have now got my Takla jack and am keen to try it out. Is there anything I need to know about where NOT to place the bag? for example I am sure it is wise to make sure it is not sitting under the air receiver or the compressor, or the fuel tank.
Where abouts is the ideal spot to lift the vehicle?

Judging from Ken's demo at Boughrood, for rear tyre, about in the middle seems to do the trick as it lifts the whole side Bodsys Brake Bible

I had one of those blowing up underwater when I had my D2 bogged in a creek. Enormous explosion that covered me with water. now, but not at the time as I had to walk 10km in 37 deg heat to look for help. '06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

Just been trying the jack. Problem was getting a good seal on the jack input hose nozzle (rubber piece could do with being couple of cm longer) and the improvised plug on the other pipe. Even with Mrs DSL helping, one was always leaking. I've tried 2 plumbing supplies and a B&Q Warehouse place for a 40mm test plug, with no luck. Anyone know of a source on the web??
Off out now to use the conventional jack to change wheels for Boughwood.

I was just trying to get something for this weekend, even if only temporary. Ended up swapping 4 wheels with standard jack, which is now knackered. Oh well, of to the stealer go!
