Anyone got photos of a healthy bush ?

now I have your attention - all comments welcome gents 55 se 69000miles

its clonking around at the front end (low speed small bumps and sharp braking at walking speed causing plenty clunking)
the front lowers (complete arms) and arb's are being renewed next week - just wondering about doing the uppers at the same time

any way of telling if these upper and lower front suspension bushes are shot by looking at the below photos ?
if not, I have the front on axel stands and wheels off - what diagnostics could I do ?

Think it's the lower arms that take most of the punishment,I haven't seen any post about replacing the uppers. Get a crow bar in and see if theres any movement on the bushes. What's the mileage?

If it was me i'd being doing the lowers first and take it from there. Thumbs Up

ARB

Hi
I would definately try the ARB's first as there are the cheapest to replace and the easiest to do and are a common issue to cause knocking noises
cheers

I had all my bushes none - (go for Superpro bushes Thumbs Up )

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic89104.html?highlight=superpro

but still had a clonk through the steering over cobbles and rough ground so in the end had the lower steering bush replaced too and now sorted NO clonks or knocks. Worth doing - TLO can supply these for about £60 and it's not a big job

Looking at the 3rd photo down, the ARB bush is looking pretty fooked.

had the same sumptoms as you

under braking it was worse also going over pot holes

had the lower wishbone bushs changed this made a big difference also later had the ball joint on the OSF changed this made no noticable difference to me

still had another knock that was obviously hidden buy the lower wish bone bush knock as it was so loud

this knock could be felit on the tie rods whilst someone else wobbled the steering wheel .turned out to be the steering rack
