Underwater light, for video / GoPro e.t.c.
I just bought some lights to use with my GoPro underwater when videoing, they are a new LED light that come with different beams, not changeable, you select what you require 90 / 65 / 25, GoPro would need wide so I went for a 90 and also a 65 to place beside it to give depth and width. £220 each here http://www.mikesdivestore.com/2390/Underwa...Light.html
Anyway reason for this post is that I have just found them a few minutes ago on a special deal with a US company here for £90 each http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-56/026998/...Light.html I will be doing some phone calls tomorrow!!!
This may help someone.
I put on a trial order with the above and it seems that unless you spend over $250 USD you get a $25 USD international surcharge, you may also be hit for duty at customs, so things to be aware of, shipping was $35 USD or so, the price for 2 torches incl shipping would be $317 USD to the UK with 2 day shipping, so a massive saving.
When I researched lights I found that with a GoPro it is not great at macro, and anything under 1000 lumins was a bit of a waste, but this light gets good reviews, with 2 giving different beams hopefully I will have the best of both worlds.
There are 2 x 1/4 20 screw holes under the torch 1.2 inches apart, I bought a special dive frame for the GoPro made from solid aluminium, it has a cold shoe fitting at the top so I have ordered these items to fix the torches to the frame (pics below) I will get a plate made up to bolt the torches together so only needed one set of these parts
iDas Ex-iB - Direct Ball Base Adaptor
iDas Ex-iHot - Ball base adaptor for Hot Shoe
iDas CL-138 - Clamp with 40 degrees sideway movement
Also had a pistol grip machined for the GoPro

These are the connectors (listed above) that will connect it to a 'hot shoe' or other ram fitting I guess
UK make great dive lights, have been using them for years, make sure that you get some O ring treatment to keep them lubricated & lubricate after every dip.Paul.
