Would really appreciate some advice.
Just started the car, engine started and as I pulled away all the warning lights and messages (suspension failure, brake failure, special programs, etc) flashed on and off in turn before the engine died. Now it's complete dead - won't lock, no flashing LED on the dash etc.
Is this likely to be as simple as a new battery or a lot more expensive?
Is there anything I can do to lock the doors?
I don't have charger or jump leads unfortunately.
Many thanks in advance.

Sounds like the battery has been discharged, most likely caused by the alternator.

I'm sure the cap on the door handle comes off, the passengers side I think, to reveal the manual lock.

Thanks both.
The cap does come off but only locks the passenger door unfortunately!
Having searched the forums and borrowed some jump leads it seems it is just a flat battery thankfully.

Replaced the battery, that worked but then the battery light came on - a dead alternator later and I now have a fully functional D3 again!
